Important Update from TruthInVoting.org

Hello Citizens,

First, we at Truth In Voting want to wish you, our supporters, a blessed
holiday season. Our wish for you and your loved ones is peace and
prosperity (and fair elections) in the New Year.

So much is happening that's both exciting and overwhelming, but we
wanted to share with you how you can remain involved. As always, please let
us know if you want to be removed from these action/education alerts on
the subject of questionable elections and potential vote fraud. Also,
please visit our web site, which changes almost daily:

WAYS YOU CAN HELP

1) In-person:

Join the Truth In Voting lobby effort of Sen. Wyden to challenge the
electoral college certification on January 6th in Congress. This is an
ongoing physical presence in his office in Eugene starting January 3rd
all day for three full days. Or, if you cannot make a commitment for any
part of those days, please call any of Wyden's offices or send letters
of concern. (see below for more information)

2) Online:

Sign the key online petition we believe to be the highest priority at this time:
http://www.house.gov/judiciary_democrats/contact.html
(see below for more information)

Donate money to the organizations planning Jan. 3rd rally in Columbus, January 2nd-6th March on Washington, and January 6th Defend Democracy Rally and Vigil in Washington DC, contesting election and fighting for recount in Ohio, and lobbying senators and congresspeople to step forward on Jan. 6th and challenge Ohio electors.

3) Meeting:

Our next action/organizing meeting will be :
WHEN: Monday, Dec. 27th at 6:30 PM
WHERE: the EWEB Training Room (500 East 4th - in North Building)

Please come and bring your enthusiasm and ideas. We will share news,
further discuss lobby efforts and discuss ideas for plans for beyond
Jan. 6th.

DETAILS. . .

ACTION ITEM 1:

No doubt many of you have seen the Michael Moore film, Fahrenheit 911,
particularly the opening sequence in which several members of Congress
were rebuffed in their attempts to challenge the 2000 Presidential
election results.
The reason: not one single Senator joined in their efforts! We're hoping
the mounting evidence and the severity of the corruption this year
changes that scene on January 6th, 2005. Towards that end, Truth In
Voting is calling for a coordinated, peaceful presence/vigil in front of
the office building where Senator Ron Wyden's office is to lobby him to
contest the results of the Nov. 2nd election. Please join us in this
effort!

Sen. Wyden's Eugene Office Address: 151 West 7th in Eugene, Room 435
Office Hours: 8 - 5 PM (the Eugene office will be closed Friday, Dec. 24
through Friday, Dec. 31)

If you want to make phone calls to Senator Wyden to express your concern
about the corruption of the Nov. 2nd Presidential election:

Call the Eugene office starting Monday, Jan 3rd:
Phone: 541-431-0229
Fax: 541-431-0610

. . .or any of these offices of Sen. Wyden starting Monday, Dec. 27th:

Portland office:
Phone: 503-326-7525
Fax: 503-326-7528

Salem office:
Phone: 503-589-4555
Fax: 503-589-4749

Medford office:
Phone: 541-858-5122
Fax: 541-858-5126

Washington, D.C. office:
Phone: 202-224-5244
Fax: 202-228-2717

Please use this language when calling/writing/faxing or visiting Sen.
Wyden's office:

We respectfully ask Senator Ron Wyden to support a formal challenge to
the electoral college on January 6th, 2005.

Please bring letters of concern and support to Wyden's Eugene office any
of the 3 days we will be in our vigil: Monday Jan. 3rd through
Wednesday, Jan. 5th.
Questions? Please email Doe Tabor: vigil@truthinvoting.org

Let's make this lobby effort peaceful, as angry confrontations are
counter-productive. Two of our members have worked hard to build good
rapport and clear our visits with staff.

ALSO:
A woman not associated with Truth In Voting (Sarah) has started a hunger
strike and silent vigil outside the building where Senator Wyden's
Eugene office is located. If you would like to show your support, please
stop by the 151 West 7th building any weekday between 3 and 6 pm and say
hello and stand with her in solidarity. She is asking the same thing we
are: that Sen. Wyden "refuse to ratify the Congressional certification
of the Electoral College on Jan. 6th, 2005." She has indicated that she
will fast until the day of that vote. For more information, call her at:
541-514-3267.

ACTION ITEM 2:

Emails. Email your senators and congressperson, and as many other senators and congresspeople as you can, about not seating the Ohio electors until a full congressional investigation of the election in Ohio has been completed.
For an excellent interview with Rep. Conyers, who is leading the congressional effort for such an investigation:
