Thanksgiving

This is a different Thanksgiving than any I've had before. I'm feeling closer to the Pilgrims than usual. The freedom which I've always enjoyed, and which the Pilgrims didn't have until they'd managed to come to these shores, is threatened today.

But I do have much to be thankful for:

-the freedoms guaranteed to all Americans by our Constitution;

-the many Americans throughout history, who have been willing to fight and die to protect those freedoms from any enemy, foreign or domestic, who would try to take those freedoms away from us;

-the brave people of Ohio, who would not and will not be turned around, and who are on the front line of the historic struggle in which we find ourselves; and

-the lesson which history teaches, that anybody who tries to take away the freedom of the American people is ultimately going to wish they hadn't messed with us.

Thank you all.

We have just begun to fight.
