Now threatened: 80% of Ohio votes
Urgent action notice ~ @freepressorg #ohio
From freepress.org
Here are some things anyone can do on Election Day:
Document any of these things and let the Free Press know during the day or immediately after the polls close:
1) Do all machines work at the beginning of the day? Were there any problems getting them to work?
2) Did any technicians come in to do any "service" on the machines during the day?
3) Are people being turned away from voting for any reason? Are many people made to vote provisionally for any reason? How many? What are the reasons?
4) Are there any people hanging around wearing suits, not identifying themselves, or challengers intimidating people, challenging their right to vote, or otherwise interfering with voters? Please take photos of them and their automobile license plates.
5) Lists of who voted are posted at 11am and 4pm at polling sites. Do those numbers match the print-out at the end of the night?
6) VERY IMPORTANT: At close of polls, the pollworkers are required to print out and post the results on the outside of the door for the public to view. Document through a photo and/or write down the final polling site results: how many people voted, who they voted for.

In next week’s presidential elections women could, in effect, lose ownership of their bodies if the Romney-Ryan ticket, with its hard right stance wins. Even if Romney loses it will be a sad day for women in some quarters if candidates such as Akin and Mourdock, with their frightening, absurdist and fundamentalist leanings, are successful.

JUSTICE DEPARTMENT TO MONITOR POLLS IN 23 STATES
ON ELECTION DAY
WASHINGTON – The Justice Department announced today that its Civil
Rights Division plans to deploy more than 780 federal observers and department personnel to 51 jurisdictions in 23 states
for the Nov. 6, 2012, general election.
Although state and local governments have primary responsibility for
administering elections, the Civil Rights Division is charged with enforcing
the federal voting rights laws that protect the rights of all citizens to
access the ballot on Election Day. In the days leading up to and throughout Election Day, Civil Rights Division staff members will be available by telephone to receive complaints related to possible violations of the federal voting rights laws (toll free 1-800-253-3931 or 202-307-2767 or TTY 1-877-267-8971). In addition, individuals may also report such complaints by fax to 202-307-3961, by email to voting.section@usdoj.gov and by a complaint form on the department’s website: www.justice.gov/crt/about/vot/.
Allegations of election fraud are handled by the 94 U.S. Attorneys’ Offices across the country and the Criminal Division’s Public Integrity Section. Complaints may be directed to any of the local U.S. Attorneys’ Offices, the local FBI offices or the Public Integrity Section at 202-514-1412.
Since the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the department has regularly sent observers and monitors around the country to protect the rights of voters. The Voting Rights Act prohibits discrimination in the election process on the basis of race, color or membership in a minority language group. In addition, the act requires certain covered jurisdictions to provide language assistance during the election process. Under the Voting Rights Act, the department is authorized to ask the Office of Personnel Management to send federal observers to areas that have been certified for coverage by a federal court or the attorney general. The department also may send its own staff to monitor elections in other jurisdictions.
On Election Day, federal observers will monitor polling place activities in
17 jurisdictions:
- Russell County, Ala.;
- Maricopa County, Ariz.;
- Alameda County, Calif.;
- Riverside County, Calif.;
- Randolph County, Ga.;
- East Carroll Parish, La.;
- Panola County, Miss.;
- Colfax County, Neb.;
- Sandoval County, N.M.;

- Cuyahoga County, Ohio;
- Lorain County, Ohio;
- Williamsburg County, S.C.;
- Shannon County; S.D.;
- Dallas County, Texas;
- Fort Bend County, Texas; and
- Jefferson County, Texas.
Justice Department personnel will monitor the election in an additional 34
jurisdictions:
- Mobile County, Ala.;
- Pima County, Ariz.;
- Arapahoe County, Colo.;
- Denver;
- Duval County, Fla.;
- Hendry County, Fla.;
- Hillsborough County, Fla.;
- Lee County, Fla.;
- Miami-Dade County, Fla.;
- Orange County, Fla.;
- Osceola County, Fla.;
- Chicago & Cook County, Ill.;
- LaPorte County, Ind.;

- Alamance County, N.C.;
- Wake County, N.C.;
- Bernalillo County, N.M.;
- Cibola County, N.M.;
- Queens County, N.Y.;
- Franklin County, Ohio;

- Delaware County, Pa.;
- Lehigh County, Pa.;
- Philadelphia;
- Richland County, S.C.;
- Davidson County, Tenn.;
- Shelby County, Tenn.;
- Harris County, Texas; and
- Milwaukee
Last month, the Justice Department announced efforts to ensure that all qualified
voters have the opportunity to cast their ballots and have their votes counted
free of discrimination, intimidation or fraud in the election process. More information about the Voting Rights Act and other
federal voting and election-related laws is available on the Civil Rights
Division’s website at www.usdoj.gov/crt/voting.

People of Ohio: put together your social media strategy NOW
The origin of this blog was that in 2004 I was an eyewitness to massive election fraud by Secretary of State Blackwell, who is in my opinion a crook and a traitor to his country for what he did. His swindle caused Bush to be the victor in the election, even though the Ohio electors had not been legally appointed. The mainstream media suppressed the information. Hence this blog.
The present Secretary of State Husted appears, unfortunately, to be of the same ilk as Blackwell, doing everything he can to disenfranchise people of color, young people, and the working poor. He is so brazen about it that he contumaciously violated a court order, in order to prevent early voting in Democratic districts only. Only when his attorneys reminded him that he might be doing jail time for that, did he relent. After he wasted taxpayer resources appealing the judicial ruling, he then complied only partially with the Court's order, probably provoking yet another round of litigation, the sole purpose of which is to PREVENT people from voting. It is incredible that a person who has sworn an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution would behave like such a low life.
There is a big difference in the world, however, between 2004, and 2012, and that is the technology of social media.
We now have smartphones which act as cameras and as video cameras, cell phones which act as cameras and limited video cameras, flip cameras, texting, emails, social networks.
This time around when the first frauds are revealed at 6:05 a.m. on election day, the whole world can know about them, see them in graphic detail, and hear what people have to say about them, by 6:10 a.m.
It is imperative that the people of the State of Ohio prepare themselves, get their batteries charged, get their social networks in place and online, get their storage devices cleaned out and ready to collect data, get all of their devices and networks ready, get their email addresses in order.
Those of you who haven't yet gotten set up with mobile technology and/or with social networks... there will never be a more important time in your life to do so.
Also, it is imperative that you organize.
In 2004 Ohio did a great job of organizing (a) before the election to register voters, and (b) after the election to protest the fraud and disenfranchisement which occurred.
However the people were unprepared to detect and monitor fraud, or to challenge the legal violations in court. It would have been hoped that the Democratic Party would have done so, but it actually did precious little.
This time Ohio needs to prepare and organize even better, and to use the new tool that is available which was not available in 2004... social media.
One organization that is working on this is Video The Vote.
Their website is here: http://www.videothevote.org
Their twitter account is here: @videothevote
Work with them.
Also many of the frauds will involve computers. People are going to need technology-savvy geniuses to monitor and detect the types of frauds that will be going on.
If you know of, or are forming, voter protection groups which will be organizing to publicize fraud and disenfranchisement and/or to combat it, or websites and blogs helping to organize such activity, please send me a "comment" letting me know the details, and I will post their information right here, and will keep updating this post:
